Our Mission is to Connect the GOOD in Western iNdependence and we would love for you to Join us! This Fall, October 26th, we are Celebrating Animal Welfare, 1 of our 4 Pillars of GOOD we are passionate about. There’s something wonderful that happened recently in Independence Missouri, a GOOD group of visionaries opened a shelter for Senior dogs called SHEP’S PLACE! This group wanted to create a place for Senior dogs so that they had a home instead of a cage to finish their puppy years. With your help in connecting GOOD and Community we can make a difference. Proceeds from this event will go to Shep’s Place and will also provide a pet waste station in our community promoting GOOD deeds and pet friendliness.

Shep’s Place Mission Statement:The goal of Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary Inc. is to operate a sanctuary for homeless senior dogs in the Kansas City area. We believe senior dogs deserve to live out their lives in a safe, loving environment. Our facility and volunteers are dedicated to caring for these dogs, to give them the support and attention they have lost. We will try to find new families for them, but if we can’t, we will be their family and home, for as long as they live.
